Buying a CNC Plasma Cutter? Know What You Need to Supply!

When you decide to invest in a CNC plasma cutting system, there is a lot to learn and a lot of decisions to be made. It is important to weigh the options carefully and take into consideration your metal fabrication shop needs. EZ Cut CNC’s plasma cutting systems are complete systems. They come with everything you need to begin cutting with speed, efficiency, and accuracy in your shop as soon as the system is installed. These smooth-operating systems include sophisticated, state-of-the-art CAD drawing and CAM cutting software, automatic torch height control (ATHC), a CNC controller, heavy duty table, a support and guidance system, CNC plasma table boundaries that are determined by electronic proximity optical sensors, high-powered drive system, the choice of Hypertherm or Victor Thermal Dynamic CNC plasma cutters, a water-tight frame that is versatile and can be configured for down draft or water table setup, Z-axis motion, side rails and gantry, custom built end trucks, complete documentation, and more! If you shop around and compare our value components with other companies, we know that you will find that we are not only economically priced but we offer our clients far more value components than other companies. Not all systems are created equal and we build our CNC plasma cutting systems for custom metal fabricators. While our systems are complete systems, it is important that our customers know there are a few things that they need to supply for proper installation and operation. When you invest in an EZ Cut CNC plasma cutting system, you will need to supply the following three things:

  1. Electrical Wiring
    • Before installation, your metal fabrication shop or workshop needs to have the appropriate electrical wiring that can be connected to the plasma cutter, system controller, and electrical disconnect boxes.
  2. Appropriate Piping
    • Regardless of the type of CNC plasma cutting system in which you are investing, you will need to have air and gas piping to the plasma cutter, as well as air dryer/filters for clean and dry air. At EZ Cut CNC, we offer an industry leading desiccant air dryer.
  3. Ductwork
    • All workshops must have the necessary ductwork and exhaust fan available for the down draft system. At EZ Cut CNC, we offer a variety of fan options and can provide customers with solutions for controlling exhaust smoke.
