“What size plasma table should I buy?” is a frequently asked question from potential customers.
It’s hard to give a simple answer because every project is going to be different, and not all CNC plasma cutting systems are built the same. Essentially, it comes down to material size and the amount of room available in your fabrication shop, but it’s important to take into account some of the points below.
Before making a decision, here’s what you need to consider:
–Your project needs: Is it more efficient for you to have a larger cutting surface area? Or will a smaller table best fit your needs?
–Material you’ll be cutting: What size dimensions is the material that you’re going to be cutting? How big will the part be that you are cutting?

-Your shop layout: Which table set up will be right for you? Thinking about material flow and where components will be placed is important for an efficient fabrication process.
–System configuration: Does your system need to be configured to function as a down draft or water table? Planning and setting up a proper exhaust system may also determine what size table you will need.
